As long ago as March 2009 we reported that Mercedes supplied the basis for the Lagonda SUV Concept (a Mercedes GL), and six months later we reported that Aston Martin were working on a Mercedes S-Class based Lagonda saloon. More recently we reported that the GL-based Lagonda SUV was back on and that Mercedes wanted Aston Martin to put together the next generation of Maybach.

Honda continues with winning formula for CR-V

Honda published the details of the 2013 CR-V small SUV on Friday. It was revamped last year so it basically carries on with minor changes. The CR-V is among the best-selling SUVs in America and will get more than 30 mpg on the highway from a 2.4-liter four-cylinder engine with 185 hp and 163 lb-ft of torque.

Ferrari F450 prototype spied as F430 successor heads for Frankfurt debut

Spy photographer Brenda Priddy serves up a fresh look at the Ferrari F450, the car set to replace the F430 in Ferrari's lineup later this year. From this prototype, spotted being loaded into a hauler, we see that the styling is updated but not a radical departure from the F430. The new model designation comes from an increase in displacement for the V8 to 4.5 liters.
